ForesightClub 2014

  • April 16, 2014

It’s here again, the ForesightClub @ UTHM!

The two days training course was held with students of Department of Technology and Management,   from the Faculty of Technology Management and Business on the Foresight methodology.

This programme is a continuation of the collaboration between myForesight® and UTHM in promoting and mainstreaming Foresight among the youth and preparing a future-minded students.

These students are the 2nd batch who will adopt the Foresight methodology and tools in doing their PSM, as part of the requirement in their bachelor degree final dissertation. Thus, the outreach session was made to ensure that they fully understand the methodology concept and to implement it in their PSM. Activities was done to test their understanding on foresight terminologies and to stimulate their creativity that will influence their thinking and action.

It the end of the session, volunteers get to read their “letters from the future” on national unity topic from the youth perspective. Some of the letters read, really amazed the audience as they were creatively and optimistically describing Malaysia in 2030.  Fascinated and currently associated with technology lifestyle, they can relate past present and future outcomes. Hence, slowly it shows that Malaysia is ready to bring the youth into another level as they will be the next constituency to shape and determine the nation’s future!
