Technology advances are enhancing the customer experience across a range of industries, and raising customers’ expectations of their service providers. This statement is indeed an opportunity for new idea commercialisation, but also post as challenges from various perspectives. In conjunction with the ICT Technical Conference 2017, MIGHT-myForersight® enlisted top 10 megatrends that will shape the futures of energy during the Keynote Presentation.

The megatrends including urbanization and digitalization. Approximately 70 million people join the urban population – growing need for houses, transport, food, water, sanitation care and education and ENERGY. This resulting the energy storage market to grow from $30 Billion today to surpass $100 billion by 2025 and the global market for digitalisation in the energy sector to grow to US$64 billion. However, while addressing the megatrends and anticipating future challenges, it is important to as well explore on the responses to strategically plan the way forward.
