Subsequent to the train the trainers program for Egyptian STI Observatory (ESTIO) representatives at MIGHT, Cyberjaya, myforesight® was invited to Cairo to advise and facilitate a two-day workshop on 16 and 17 August 2017. The workshop was an initiative of Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (ASRT) of Egypt to develop Egypt Energy 2030 scenarios in support of Egypt Vision 2030. Apart from applying the scenario planning methodology into a real case, the initiative is to inculcate future thinking to the stakeholders especially the policy makers in a systematic and structured manner. The scenarios produced by the workshop will be used to test robustness of current roadmap and strategies formulated for energy sector.
