Youth Nation Summit 2011

A Youth Nation Summit 2011, co-organized by AIESEC in Malaysia and myHarapan were held on the 28th May to the 31st May 2011.

Approximately over 1000 Malaysian youth leaders who are passionate and dedicated to making a positive change in their communities were present. 29th May 2011, University of Malaya (2nd Day of the Summit)- youth leaders attended the Youth to Government forum, where the public sector were invited to speak to the youth leaders regarding their involvement in youth or community development. The main objective of this forum is to enable young leaders to understand the issue of public sector is addressing. En Rushdi Abdul Rahim, Program Director from myForesight team represented MIGHT during the forum and sat on the panel together with YB Senator Dato’ Maznah Mazlan, the Deputy Minister of Human Resources and the VP of MTDC. The forum was moderated by Kamarul Bahrain from Astro Awani.

During the session, En.Rushdi presented the importance of Foresight and how youth leaders can contribute towards the country’s objective of becoming a developed nation as envision by Prime Minister.
