Futures Thinking and Scenario Planning (FTSP) is gaining its popularity over the years especially among the public sector. myForesight® was invited by Ministry of Finance (MOF) to share our FTSP practices during their “Strategic Linkages Lab UTC-RTC-Mini RTC “for the State of Johor.

The National Strategic Unit (NSU), MOF is responsible in spearheading and coordinating all the strategic alliance between Urban Transformation Centre (UTC) – Rural Transformation Centre (RTC) – Mini RTC (MRTC) in Malaysia. This inter-ministerial initiative includes Ministry of Agricultural (MOA), Ministry of Education (MOE), Ministry of Rural and Regional Development (KKLW), Department of Agriculture (DOA), and Department of Fishery (DOF), Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (FAMA), Malaysian Agricultural Research and Development Institute (MARDI) and many others as the implementer.

This inaugural round table discussion was held from 28th September to 1st October 2014 in Dewan Alumni UTM Skudai, Johor. The objective of the event is to find effective connecting points between UTC-RTC-MRTC using the Blue Ocean Strategy in optimizing the output and outcome of the centers for the benefit of the Rakyat. More than 100 participants were involved in the 4 days interactive session.

En. Mohd Nurul Azammi who represented myForesight® shares his knowledge on Foresight practices and the significant of it in deciding the best scenario of the future.
