Foresight and Futures Thinking: Provocateur to Innovation

  • July 13, 2017
13th July 2017, MaGIC, Cyberjaya

Foresight is about changing your mindset towards having a broader view about the futures. However, being a Future proof entrepreneur requires you to be more than innovative, but also able to understand the Future needs, systematically looking at the Future, as well as organizing a long term thinking process.

MIGHT-myForesight® shared the insight on how Foresight and Futures Thinking as the Provocateur to Innovation during the MaGIC Grill or Chill session to about 50 young entrepreneurs. The one-hour session introduced Foresight tools and methodologies and explored the questions of trends vs fads and turning future threats into opportunities. Embracing the Industry 4.0, there are shared stories of organisations that successfully implementing futures thinking in their businesses or get effected badly due to trends and signals ignorance thus cost the fortune.

“Foresight does not allow you to predict the future,

it does allow you to determine if your strategies will survive in different worlds.”
