Malaysia was anointed as one of the country with promising economic development. The aspiration to transform the country into a high income nation has indeed craved new path forward especially in the future of works area. Integrity and values, global competitiveness, leadership and talent management are some of the key drivers to putting Malaysia on the right path.

In moving forward, a scenario planning workshop was convened last 28 January 2015 by The Malaysian Foresight Institute (myForesight) to develop a strategic outlook and policy direction for Malaysian Public Service beyond 2020. The program is a joint initiative between Malaysian Industry-Government Group for High Technology (MIGHT) and Public Service Department of Malaysia (JPA).

This is the second scenario building session with the objective to verify the 13 drivers and to determine key drivers with high impact and uncertainty. During the Scenario  Planning session, participants from public service, NGOs  and academicians  identified future scenarios and prioritised six to eight key drivers for each of the five components of public service namely leadership, organisational design, people, strategy and culture. The outcome from these workshops will leads to the direction of change of the key drivers and scenario writing for the Future of Malaysian Public Service report.
