On the 1st to 3rd July 2013, MIGHT welcomed the Iranian delegations for the Training Workshop for Iranian ICT Industry. The event was held in Intercontinental Hotel, Kuala Lumpur and attended by 35 representatives from various ICT related organisations.
The main objective of the workshop is to present Malaysian ICT industry landscape and to discuss on the best approach for conducting foresight on Iranian ICT Industry. Invited speakers are from the major players in the area of ICT such as MOSTI, MAMPU, MDeC and MIMOS. Sharing the Iran overview, speakers are from Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade and the Iran Parliament Research Centre. MIGHT also presented Malaysian activities and initiatives in ICT with the delegations during the afternoon session. A few visits to local ICT related companies were organised in conjunction of the event, to show and share the local experience in developing the ICT industry and exploring interest for collaboration with the Iranian ICT organisations.
